Exergy’s advanced membrane-based systems, include Advanced Diffusion Dialysis (DD), Continuous Electrodeionization (CEDI), Membrane Electrolysis (ME),Electrodialysis (ED) and Reverse Osmosis (ARO). The Company also provides conventional membrane technologies such as ultrafiltration to complete its designs

  • Azita Yazdani, P.E.,Founder and CEO

    A seasoned environmental executive with national recognition who has led Exergy since its inception. She has directed sales, led IP development and managed the product design for EthorCEL®. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from UCLA Anderson School. She is a registered chemical engineer in California.

  • Sandeep Shroff Chief Financial Officer

    Sandeep brings nearly 20 years of experience spanning finance, investment analysis, strategic planning and technology, including the last four years of leadership experience (as CFO) in fund raising and strategic and tactical financial management.

    In his position as co-founder at Gridstone Research, a financial technology, data products and services company, he played a leadership role in raising four rounds of funding and all aspects of the company establishment and rapid growth. Before that, at Infosys he led the US team responsible for investor relations and M&A activity for the India and NASDAQ dual listed company. He led investor road shows in connection with the $1B+ secondary sale of shares. Previous to that, on the sell-side at Banc of America Securities, he analyzed and published research on industry leading companies in enterprise software, IT services and business services sectors.

    Sandeep holds an MBA in finance from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, as well as a Master's in Computer Science from Syracuse University.

  • Barry Chin, Ph.D., Vice President of Product Development

    Barry has over 23 years of industrial experience in the field of semiconductor processing and manufacturing equipment. Dr. Chin has managed the development of EthorCEL® product platform since 2004 at Exergy, and has directed fabrication of the first fully automatic EthorCEL®. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

  • Robert J. "Bob" Naber, Vice President of Product Launch, High Technology Applications

    Bob has over 30 years of global experience in the semiconductor industry. Experience ranges from wafer fab process engineering to applications/product management to business development in wafer and maskmaking process equipment and design software. This experience includes defining and implementation of manufacturing and process development laboratories facilities specifications. From these roles as a user and supplier of process equipment, consulting projects in clean/green tech, and volunteer work in the maritime/environmental segments, Bob has an extensive professional network to the served and potential markets of Exergy. Experience includes large corporations, pre/post IPO, private startups. A well published and internationally invited speaker in semiconductors, Bob has also served on the BOD of SPIE Photomask and served as Symposium Chairman for the record setting annual international symposium with over 200 papers published and over 1000 international attendees. Bob graduated Cum Laude BS ChE with graduate electives and upper level coursework in electrochemistry synthesis, biochemistry and cell biology from the University of Cincinnati. This 12 mo/year 5 year program included 18 mos. co-op experience at Procter & Gamble technical center in process and product development.

  • Saum Nour, P.E., Vice President of Consulting Services

    “Dr. Nour” is licensed Engineer in 25 states. He holds licenses in Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering. As a practicing engineer, he has challenged very difficult tasks and implemented new innovations in many projects, incorporating green and clean design. Dr. Nour is a LEED AP, certified in plumbing engineering and fire protection programs. His diversified experience includes small building projects to large industrial facilities, for which he has designed and specified a variety of equipment solutions and systems, performed construction support and coordinated multi-disciplinary teams. Dr. Nour has written a lecture series on LEED and on California Green Code, and his work can also be found on a blog called: Greenerade.com. Prior to joining Exergy, Dr. Nour held various positions in research and academia, engineering design and well as industrial manufacturing. He has published articles and authored many chapters in published books, a list of which is available upon request. He holds two B.S. from University of Oklahoma, and in 1982 at age of 24, he received his Master and Ph.D. from University of Illinois-Urbana.
