(UF) |
DESCRIPTION
Ultrafiltration
(UF) is a membrane separation technology that separates components
from process streams by retaining target compounds and allowing
passage of the remaining process solution through membrane pores of
a specific submicron size, typically in the range of 0.0001 to 0.1
micron. Standard membranes used in Exergy’s UF systems are
manufactured from basic plastic polymers using proprietary
formulations and processing steps to engineer the pore sizes.
FEATURES
▪ High quality pre-tested membranes
▪ Exacting standards to ensure proper membrane size
▪ Spiral winding of separators using
special fabrication
techniques
▪ Quality tested using both salt and dye solutions
▪ pH range from 0-13
▪ Permeate capacity from 60 to 2,220 I/h (16 to 587 gph)
APPLICATIONS
Exergy’s UF systems provide superior quality and performance for
separation applications.
Typical applications for ultrafiltration
include:
▪ Oil/water separation
▪ Water purification
▪ COD reduction
▪ Recovery of specialty chemicals
▪ Hazardous waste remediation
SYSTEM COMPONENTS
The Exergy UF systems are modular, automated, and skid-mounted
systems. High-quality,
heavy-duty UF system components include:
